New Orleans has had a great start to the new year. The celebration did not end after the Saints won their first Superbowl championship in history. Mardi Gras rolled on Tuesday, February 16th, making it one of the greatest and most memorable in history. Saints quarterback Drew Brees was crowned King of Bacchus and revelers saw plenty of black and gold throws.
The end of Carnival season marks the beginning of festival season. There is never a dull moment in New Orleans, which is why it is one of the best citys to visit all year. Below are the upcoming festivals taking place in the city:
Earth Fest March 20-21, 2010
Come see the animals, listen to great music, eat some fabulous New Orleans food and learn what you can do to save the planet.

For more than 40 years, music lovers from around the globe have made the pilgramage to the historic Fair Grounds Race Course for a lineup that reads more like a who’s who of music legends than an event flyer. The music is phenomenal, the food is inspirational. An event worth of the birthplace of jazz.
New Orleans Wine & Food Experience May 25-29, 2010
Toast to the finer things in life – pinots, merlots and gumbos – as more than 75 of New Orleans’ best restaurants pair up with 175 of the world’s finest wineries. Spirits are always high at this annual celebration of New Orleans’ culinary creativity event.
