This was my 2nd visit to New Orleans and I had reservations at 4 different hotels, one of which was the Dauphine. I chose this one, even tho I read a couple of negative reviews..the bulk of reviews was very positive. I'm so-o glad I did. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere and southern hospitality couldn't have been better. The staff was friendly, the room in excellent shape, continental breakfast, afternoon hordeurves & teas were wonderful...just everything pool & courtyards beautiful. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The guest bathrobes, turned down beds w/ treats, purified air system was included in the modest price of the regular double room we stayed in. Next time I'll try one of the suites that adjoins the courtyard. If you're ever in New Orleans, try this hotel...only 1 block to Bourbon St, but far away enough from the noise. The shuttle service was an added bonus. Loved it here, you will too.
